To capture the South African sun, 390 kW of solar panel capacity now sits on the roof.

The ‘BEAST’ (H3 Plus) utilizes the advanced pass-through technology of the Fox system. This technology allows the system to use all power coming off the roof simultaneously. For example, the system can send 100 kW to charge the batteries while directing 250 kW straight into the building. This process ensures the batteries stay full to power the plant through the evening hours. This seamless management of energy provides the facility with total independence from the grid during peak times.
The Results: Massive Savings and Stability
This technological shift delivered immediate and profound results for the printing plant. USS Graphics achieved a staggering 76% saving on their original electricity bill. Due to these massive savings on such a large monthly expense, the project has an estimated payback period of only two and a half years. Most importantly, the plant now enjoys the stable, continuous power required for its sensitive equipment.
